A historically important centre in the Bolognese area. The small castle dominates the town from the hilltop. Its origins date from the 11th Century but was rebuilt in 1400 by John of Bentivoglio. Next to the castle is St. Stephens Church ( 8th.century ) where several important paintings of 17th And 18th century Bolognese artists can be seen.
